Discover Scuba Diving
Make your first dive in Saint Martin in a safe setting, guided by a qualified instructor.

The Safety
We adapt to each diver, whether it is a first experience or a gentle return to diving.
Depth is not what makes a dive enjoyable, so we choose sites according to your preferences, always in full respect of safety rules.
Pleasure
The goal is simple: to give you an enjoyable experience, at your own pace, in the best possible conditions.
The discovery
You will be supervised at all times by a professional instructor holding a French State Diving Certificate. F.A.Q.
You will discover breathing underwater, your first sensations, and scuba diving equipment.

F.A.Q
Do you need to know how to swim to do a first dive ?
Knowing how to swim is not a requirement for a discovery dive. However, if you have already done snorkeling, it will be an advantage.
At what age can you do a discovery dive ?
At Blue Odyssey Diving, we accept children for discovery dives from the age of 12, for safety reasons. Please note that children are more fragile and still in a growth phase.
How deep do you go during a discovery dive ?
The depth remains shallow, between 2 and 6 meters maximum depending on the site and your comfort level. The goal is not to go deep, but to discover the sensation of breathing underwater in complete peace of mind.
How long does a discovery dive last ?
You should generally allow about 2 hours and 30 minutes for the welcome, briefing, equipment fitting, and the dive itself. Time underwater is usually around 30 minutes.
Is a discovery dive a diving certification ?
No, it does not allow you to dive deeper than the regulatory 6 meters.
If you want to continue, we recommend completing your FFESSM/CMAS Level 1.
What should you bring for a discovery dive ?
You only need to bring a swimsuit, a towel, and optionally sunscreen. The diving equipment is provided by the dive center.

I went for my first dive. I met Philippe, the instructor and owner of the place, with whom I dived. A truly wonderful person who will make you feel at ease.
You can go there with complete peace of mind for a discovery dive. Best regards, l'alsacien

My sons and I were complete beginners. Philippe was an exceptional guide: safe, patient, highly knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. Our dives were simply incredible! I would recommend him without hesitation.
